Our school’s professional development focus this year is on literacy. My students have been learning about habits and how to create a habit for writing. We talked about how writing becomes easier the more we practice and how eventually if you do something enough, it becomes a habit. Our class decided to make a habit out of our writing. We needed to write 50 words every single day for 30 days. At the end of our #30DayWritingChallenge, we would get a certificate of completion. We have set individual goals and are keeping personal track of our progress using a calendar to cross off dates. Today was our first day, and it was a success!
